About Us
Dorset Grave Care is family-owned business specialising in the cleaning, restoration, and
maintenance of grave and memorial sites throughout Dorset.
Founded by Matthew Bell, our company was formed with the goal of helping families with the
upkeep of a loved one’s resting place.
We have all suffered painful losses in our lives. Having a lasting memorial to honour those that are no
longer with us is incredibly important, allowing us to remain connected to the people we loved and
cherished.
Graves and memorials are also an important part of the grieving process. The grief of losing someone
never truly heals but having a lasting legacy of their life and memory can help us move forward.
Unfortunately, a grave, kerbed, or cremation memorial will fall into disrepair over the months and
years without regular maintenance.
Facing the full brunt of the elements, headstones accumulate various growth like moss and lichen,
while also wearing, staining, and even cracking. Weeds and grass can also grow around the site and
ruin the appearance of this important memorial.
Visiting a memorial that is in poor condition is understandably upsetting. However, this is a common

Matthew has over a decade experience in grave tending, having meticulously cleaned and maintained
countless headstones, kerbeds, statues, and other memorial sites. He understands the unique
challenges of maintaining and restoring memorials, ensuring his team works diligently to produce the
highest standards of work.
Alongside Matthew is a stonemason with over five years of experience maintaining and restoring all
types of memorial masonry. Our florist has over six years of experience specialising in memorial
flowers, creating beautiful displays to honour those that have passed.
We also have a team of gardeners with over 30 years of combined experience. They have tended
gravesites and cemeteries throughout Dorset, understanding how to best maintain grasses, plants,
and remove unwanted growth around the grate site.
Together, our team works tirelessly to ensure that your loved one’s memorial is maintained to the
highest standards that they deserve.
We are honoured to be given the responsibility of tending the memorial of your loved one. It is not
